Types of Membership

Ordinary Membership

To apply for Ordinary Membership, an applicant must be not less than twenty-one years of age, residing in Hong Kong for a minimum of three months, and be proposed by a resident Member ("the Proposer") who has held Ordinary Membership of the Club for at least three years.

The Proposer should contact the Club for an application form and return with the requisite reference letters.

Membership is not immediately available.

Corporate Nominee Membership (CNM)

A company applying for Corporate Nominee Membership (CNM) must meet the application requirements as set out by the General Committee and nominate a full-time member of staff as the person entitled to use the Membership. Each CNM is limited to one nominee and their family.

CNMs may be transferred and the entrance fee paid by the transferor refunded by the Club to the transferor subject to Club rules and conditions.

Memberships are available from time to time. The applicant may contact the Club for an application form and return with the requisite documents.

3-Year Short Term Non-Refundable CNM (STNCNM)

A company acquiring a STNCNM must nominate a full-time member of staff as the person entitled to use the membership. Each STNCNM is limited to one nominee and their family. After a fixed period of three years, the membership terminates with no residual value.

Junior Sports Membership Scheme

To promote sports development in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Country Club has launched a Junior Sports Membership Scheme for outstanding young athletes aged 14 to 29. The Club offers 15 membership vacancies for this purpose. Successful applicants will enjoy the same privileges and rights as other members; although they will not have voting rights.

Applicants should be, in the opinion of the General Committee of the Club, a person of good standing and have excelled in a sport recognised by the Hong Kong Sports Federation & Olympic Committee or the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled.
