FROM THE DRAWING ROOM TO BUENOS AIRES

The programme traces a musical journey spanning more than a century, from the intimate salons of nineteenth-century France to the passion-driven streets of Buenos Aires. Amelia Chan, Alan Chu and Juanita Wong bring together works including a remarkable piece of musical history: a piano trio composed by Claude Debussy at just 17 years old in 1880, believed lost for over a century before its rediscovery. The programme culminates with Astor Piazzolla's The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, a work that transformed the tango from the dance hall into the concert hall. It’s an evening not to be missed.
